The Haringey based tenor, Nicholas Martin, releases the second single “Eres Todo En Mi” (You Are My Everything” from his forthcoming debut album “Destella Azul”; a collection of favourite songs from the Latin American and Spanish songbooks, It will be released on the 14th February, 2025.
‘'You are my everything” is a song written by Don Ray, Leroy Gomez and Jean-Manuel Mobillion de Scarano’, writes Nicholas.. ‘It was originally sung by the Mexican singer Ana Gabriel and featured in the film, Dance with Me (1998), which starred Chayanne and Vanessa Williams. The song carries a musical line of great beauty encompassing a tension of passion, love and hope. It was the perfect combination to inspire me when I was at a vulnerable and emotional part of my life. I decided to commission an arrangement suitable for my voice, still keeping the essence of the romantic Latin culture and sounds’, he adds.
“Eres Todo En Mi” was recorded live with an ensemble consisting of a Bandoneon, Piano, Guitar, Cello and Cajon. The natural sounds of these instruments accompanying Nicholas’ voice creates a warm and unique Hispanic/Latin style.
